Kami Game-evo Game Contest - Circle Tetris

I participated in a small game contest project in collaboration with a Japanese high school group. Our team consisted of three Swedish students, including myself, and four Japanese students. It was a fast-paced, cross-cultural experience that challenged us to be creative, efficient, and collaborative.

We only had about four days to develop the game, all while managing our regular full-time studies. Despite the tight schedule, we were determined to deliver something playable. I took on the role of lead programmer and was also the main point of communication with the Japanese students, since I know some Japanese. This helped bridge the language gap and kept the team aligned throughout the process.

We worked quickly to divide responsibilities, coordinate ideas, and turn them into a functioning prototype. Although the final build had a few small bugs, we successfully created a playable game under heavy time constraints. It was simple, but it ran, and more importantly, we built it together from scratch.

The experience taught me a lot about rapid prototyping, leadership, cross-cultural communication, and how to adapt under pressure. As a team, we were proud of what we achieved in such a short time.
